The community of Schertz, Texas, is mourning the unexpected passing of Denise I. Garcia-Sanchez at the age of 35. A devoted wife and mother, Denise was known for her vibrant spirit and deep connections with family and friends. She is survived by her husband, children, and many extended family members, all remembering her love, laughter, and joy in life. A celebration of her life is scheduled, allowing loved ones to honor her memory both in-person and via livestream.

Schertz, Texas – The community is in mourning following the unexpected passing of Denise I. Garcia-Sanchez, who died at the age of 35 on June 30, 2025. Denise, a devoted wife and mother, was born on January 20, 1990, in San Antonio, Texas.

Denise served as a beloved partner to Brian Julius Sanchez, whom she married after they met in high school. The couple shared a vibrant family life with their two children, Ayden Rene Sanchez and Brielle Paige Sanchez. Denise is also survived by her mother, Diane Magallanez, and her late father, Marcos Xavier Garcia, along with her siblings, Mark Anthony Garcia and Marissa Eliza Garcia.

Denise is remembered for her spirited personality and unwavering independence. She loved engaging in activities that brought joy to her and those around her. Her hobbies included journaling, singing karaoke, and spending quality time with friends. Her family was her main focus, and they were central to her vibrant life.

Extended family members include her grandparents, Robert and Isabel Magallanez, uncles Daniel (Leigh-Anne) Magallanez and James (Jennifer) Magallanez, and aunt Monica (Waleed) Khan. Denise also leaves behind her in-laws, Julio Sanchez and Edith Antonio, along with sisters-in-law Stephanie and Samantha Sanchez. Countless great aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends also survive her, all of whom will carry fond memories of her spirit and humor.

Denise has been described as an authentic individual who lived life to the fullest. Her passions and joys were centered around her family and the many connections she made throughout her life. She faced the world with laughter and love, bringing joy to the lives of those who knew her.

In loss, she is predeceased by her father, Marcos Xavier Garcia, her grandparents, Orlando and Minerva Garcia, and her great-grandparents, Perfecto and Katarina Mendez.

A celebration of Denise’s life has been scheduled for July 12, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Sunset Funeral Home, Mausoleum II Chapel, located at 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, Texas. For those unable to attend in person, a livestream will be available, allowing loved ones to participate in honoring her memory from afar.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the family. Donations will be accepted via Venmo at @Brianjulius or through Cash App at $BRIANjSa.

As the community reflects on Denise’s life, her legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering spirit will remain in the hearts of many. Her family asks for prayers and support during this difficult time as they begin to process their profound loss.
