Key Events to Attend

Fiesta Noche Del Rio kicks off the season every Friday and Saturday night from June 6 to August 3 at the Arneson River Theatre. This cultural showcase runs for 90 minutes and features vibrant performances including live mariachi, flamenco, salsa, and folklorico dances. The event is aimed at benefiting local children’s charities through the Alamo Kiwanis Club. Performances begin at 8:30 p.m., and ticket prices are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors, and $8 for children.

On the first Friday of each month, San Antonio will also host the Party on the Tower Plaza at the Tower of the Americas from June 6 to October 3, offering a fun-filled evening of live music, lawn games, a moon bounce, caricature drawings, and even bull riding. The event runs from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. with free admission, making it an accessible option for families.

The Blue Star will feature a free monthly pop-up art market every first Friday from June 6 to December 5. This event includes a guest DJ, community mural painting, and food and drink specials, taking place from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Blue Moon Tex-Mex, located at 403 Blue Star.

Sports Events

San Antonio FC will take on the Las Vegas Lights FC at Toyota Field on Saturday, June 7 at 8 p.m. The match is themed “United by the Pitch” to celebrate community and heritage through soccer. Tickets for this event are priced starting at $21. The game will take place at 5106 David Edwards Dr.

Musical Performances

The iconic duo, The Righteous Brothers, will be performing their Lovin’ Feelin’ Farewell Tour at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday, June 8 at 7 p.m. Featuring original member Bill Medley and Bucky Heard, tickets for this concert start at $63. The venue is located at 100 Auditorium Cir.

Art and Culture

The San Antonio Museum of Art will host special guided tours on Saturday to celebrate Pride Month, focusing on the works of LGBTQ+ artists. Each tour is limited to 25 participants, and tickets are free with the cost of museum admission.

Family-Friendly Activities

Mission Marquee Plaza will offer free outdoor activities, including yoga sessions and a farmers and artisans market, followed by a screening of the animated movie “Inside Out 2.” In addition, Hemisfair is set to provide free events throughout the summer, including the popular “Movies by Moonlight” featuring dog-themed outdoor movie screenings every Tuesday starting from 7 p.m.

Families can also join the Disco Alfresco dance parties every Thursday at Civic Park from June 5 to July 31, running from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. The Super Fun Saturdays – After Dark at Yanaguana Garden will provide themed activities and performances for an enjoyable weekend experience.

Additional Offerings

Civic Park is bringing community together with free yoga sessions and a Sunday Brunch Market scheduled twice a month. The Union Pacific Railroad Splash Pad at Yanaguana Garden is a delightful option for children and is open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., perfect for cooling off during the summer heat.

Parking Information

For those planning to attend events, parking options are plentiful near Hemisfair, including public garages. Notably, free parking is available on Tuesdays and Sundays after 5 p.m. in city-owned facilities, providing convenient access for attendees.
