The excitement kicked off with the San Antonio Livestock Judging show, where the Fayette County 4-H junior teams showcased their skills, followed by an impressive performance at the Bell County Livestock Judging Contest on February 7, 2025.
Junior Teams Dominate the Bell County Contest
In Bell County, the Fayette County 4-H Maroon Junior Team stole the spotlight by clinching the Champion Junior Team title. This talented group featured Hudson Holub, Kaisley Janecka, Abraham McBride, and Tatum Fritsch, who collectively demonstrated their expertise in livestock evaluation. On an individual level, Holden emerged as the high point junior, while Kaisley Janecka and Abraham McBride finished 2nd and 6th, respectively.
But the Maroon Team wasn’t alone in their success. The Fayette County 4-H Gold Junior Team also had a fantastic showing, placing 5th overall. This team included Crockett Guenther, Adalyn Carrales, Dylan Zweschper, and Tate Fritsch, with Crockett finishing 4th individually. Meanwhile, the Fayette County 4-H Green Junior Team secured a commendable 7th place. Team members Emma Zweschper, Abigale McBride, Rilan Karisch, and Joe Carrales showed off their impressive skills, particularly Emma, who placed 5th individually. Hunter Gabler represented well as an individual contestant in the same competition.
Senior Team Performance
The Fayette County 4-H Senior Team faced tough competition, finishing 13th overall. Team members Rheagan Karisch, Logan Poncik, and Hailey Janish put in diligent effort, showcasing their abilities. JoJo and Kaci Carrales coached all teams, offering their guidance and expertise throughout the competitions.
San Angelo Contest Brings More Triumphs
Following the Bell County Contest, on March 5, 2025, Fayette County 4-H members headed to the San Angelo Livestock Judging Contest, where the competitive spirit continued. The Fayette County 4-H Junior Maroon Team emerged as champions at the District 11 4-H Livestock Judging Contest on April 20, 2025. Team members Abigale McBride, Joe Carrales, Hudson Holub, and Rilan Karisch showed remarkable teamwork and skill, with Abigale being crowned the high point junior, while Joe snagged 7th place and Hudson grabbed 8th individually.
The Fayette County 4-H Junior Green Team placed 3rd overall in this contest. Members Tate Fritsch, Emma Zweschper, Adalyn Carrales, and Kinley Kutac not only performed well as a unit but also shone individually, with Tate finishing 2nd and Emma securing 10th. Adding to the excitement, the Junior White Team placed 8th, featuring Avah Noreiga, Meredith Carruthers, Abbigale Eichler, and Hayleigh Pizzitola.
Intermediate and Senior Teams Excel
The competition continued to heat up with the Fayette County 4-H Intermediate Maroon Team emerging as Champions.
