San Antonio will host a one-of-a-kind event on May 17, 2025, when the original Annabelle doll, made famous by the “The Conjuring” film series, will be on display. This highly anticipated event will take place at Victoria’s Black Swan Inn from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., showcasing not only Annabelle but also two other haunted objects from The Warrens’ Occult Museum.

The Psychic & Spirit Fest, organized by Curious Twins Paranormal & Ghost Tours, will feature a variety of attractions aimed at those interested in the paranormal. Attendees can expect speeches from guest speakers, gallery readings, and insights from demonologists, psychics, and mediums. Furthermore, a special museum-only event will offer attendees a closer look at Annabelle on May 18, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The original Annabelle doll is a Raggedy Ann doll, not the porcelain version often depicted in movies. The doll was gifted to a nursing student in 1970, quickly showcasing a range of eerie behaviors that led the owner’s friends to believe it was haunted. The renowned paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren were called in to help and determined that the doll was influenced by an “inhuman presence.” They subsequently created a protective glass case for Annabelle after removing her from the situation.

Tickets for the festival range between $40 and $99, with the option to include museum access, although the main tickets for the festival are already sold out. A limited “Saturday Festival Ticket, Sunday Museum Entrance” is still available for $99. Additionally, children aged 4 to 14 can attend the festival for a reduced admission fee of $10, which does not include access to the museum.

The Black Swan Inn, where the event will occur, has its own storied history, believed to be haunted since the time of the Battle of Salado Creek in 1842. Curious Twins is based in San Antonio and operated by psychic medium Fred Garza-Guzman and his husband, Stephen Garza-Guzman, offering a local connection to the paranormal community.

The Warrens are well-known figures in the world of paranormal investigation. Their extensive collection of haunted artifacts, including Annabelle, has intrigued audiences through films and documentaries. Annabelle is the central character in several horror movies, including “Annabelle,” “Annabelle: Creation,” and “Annabelle Comes Home,” adding to her notoriety.

Guides from the New England Society of Psychic Research will be present at the festival to provide attendees with deeper insights into The Warrens’ collection, allowing participants to gain a better understanding of the investigations conducted by the couple. This gathering is set to be an engaging experience for those who are fascinated by the spectral and the mysterious.

The inclusion of Annabelle as a central exhibit at the Psychic & Spirit Fest represents a unique opportunity for fans of horror and the occult alike. With the combination of expert commentary and various paranormal activities, attendees will be immersed in an atmosphere rich with history, legend, and perhaps a touch of the supernatural.
