San Antonio, Texas – Beverley Anderson, a lifelong supporter of education and community, passed away recently, leaving behind a legacy marked by love, creativity, and resilience. She was 87 years old.

Beverley was born on December 26, 1937, in San Antonio, to Lucylle Norvelle and Clyde Priour. After completing her education at Northside High School in San Antonio, she married David Anderson on June 19, 1957. The couple spent five adventurous years in Saudi Arabia due to David’s work as an airline mechanic before returning to their roots in San Antonio.

Prior to returning home, Beverley demonstrated remarkable skills in building and fixing things. Over the years, she constructed everything from shelves and beds to an entire playground for her grandchildren. Known for her organizational prowess, she had the unique ability to enhance any space she encountered. Beverley played a crucial role in the family business, Anderson Garage, and took great pride in her work as a devoted homemaker.

In 1986, Beverley and David purchased a ranch in Dilley, Texas, where they continued to create a nurturing environment for their family. Throughout their years on the ranch, Beverley’s strength and creativity flourished. Her deep faith guided her life and served as a source of inspiration for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Beverley is preceded in death by her parents, Lucylle Norvelle and Clyde Priour, her son Zane David Anderson, her sister Betty Embry, and her grandson Jacob Michael Kassai. She is survived by her husband David, her son Mark Anderson and his wife LaDari, daughters Jill Kassai and her husband John, and Jann Rabon and her husband Jimmy. She is also survived by her sister Barbara Harris.

Her family includes numerous grandchildren: Kristin Coleman and her husband Danny, Scott Anderson and his wife Ashlyn, David Kassai and his wife Lorah, Luke Rabon and his wife Lauren, Michelle Dunaway and her husband Cole, and Amanda Carnes and her husband Clayton. Beverley also cherishes the joy of being a great-grandmother to Morgan, Quinn, and Payton Coleman; Islay and Porter Anderson; Delta and Kaia Kassai; Olivia Rabon; Wesley and Walker Dunaway, with two more great-grandsons on the way.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Zion Lutheran Church, officiated by Rev. Dr. Kathi Inglis Johnson, along with guest clergy Pastor Dr. Lance Hartsfield. A burial service will follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by Sunset Northwest Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to Zion Lutheran Church or First Baptist Church of Dilley as a tribute to Beverley’s commitment to her faith and community.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the 10 South Neuro ICU team at Methodist Hospital for their care and compassion during Beverley’s final days, concluding a life that truly exemplified support, love, and community spirit.
